“I’ve been living in [a van] for about four months now. I switched over to living in it for adventure. I’ve always wanted to live in a van and take my house with me everywhere. The van is definitely big enough for two people, but not for two brothers. We can’t be that close to each other for that long.
“We were always adventurous growing up. We have nine brothers and sisters. It’s a really big family, and we actually have gypsy blood, so we kind of see that as we’re just pioneers, wanderers, and adventurers. Growing up in such a large family was rambunctious — holy shit. The nature is really nice in Yukon. You can choose any direction and go enjoy yourself. There, everyone knows each other, everybody fucks each other — you know, small-town bullshit.
“Our mom and dad split up when we were pretty young. Our dad is kind of a nomad. He’s like a bushman, he’s the adventurous one. Him and our mom didn’t see eye-to-eye, so we were raised basically by our mom. She raised all nine of us on her own for the majority of the time. She’s actually here visiting right now. Our dad tried to come visit us every-so-often. Recently he’s been getting better at it. Our mom has worked her ass off. All she has done is work, work, work. Now, she’s just walking around here carefree, and it’s really nice to see.”
